• The first step to improving the efficiency of the building’s existing equipment and appliances was easy.

  The HBA carefully tuned the furnace and cleaned all the filters.

• Next, the HBA installed a new Heat Recovery Ventilator (HRV) system and controls.

  An HRV is a specialized piece of equipment that captures the heat from stale, outgoing air and uses it to warm fresh, incoming air.

• The old water heater and refrigerator were replaced with new, ENERGY STAR rated appliances.
